The research group "Epidemiology of Mental Health Disorders and Ageing," led by Dr. Josep Maria Haro, seeks a pre-doctoral researcher to work on the Epidemiology of Youth Mental Health research line, collaborating with Dr. Rodrigo Antunes Lima.
The project IMPROVA aims to co-design, pilot, evaluate, and scale a modular eHealth intervention platform to improve adolescent mental health and wellbeing, detect issues early, and prevent common mental problems. It involves stakeholders including adolescents, parents, teachers, and policymakers, and includes an international, multidisciplinary team. After pilot testing, IMPROVA will be implemented in schools across France, Germany, Romania, and Spain, involving 8,000 adolescents, with comprehensive evaluation and guidance for scaling up.
Similarly, the project ePro-Schools will develop and evaluate an evidence-based platform promoting physical activity and healthy eating among adolescents, including modules for various stakeholders and conducted within socially disadvantaged settings.
Responsibilities include supporting co-creation, implementation, user support during RCTs, stakeholder interviews, and dissemination activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a health-related discipline (Psychology, Medicine, Public Health, etc.), social sciences, or a closely related field.
- Relevant research experience, including international projects and peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in school-based studies and/or eHealth platform development or implementation.
- Previous participation in international collaborative projects.
- Language skills: English and Spanish (written and spoken); knowledge of Catalan is a plus.
