Area Manager - Ophthalmology
Location: Andalusia
A leading international ophthalmic medical device company is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to drive sales growth and manage key customer accounts across Andalusia.
You will be responsible for achieving sales targets and growing market share across a portfolio of intraocular lenses and partner products within your territory. Acting as a trusted expert and representative of the business, you will focus on retaining existing accounts while executing a strategic growth plan to drive both short-term performance and long-term success in the region.
You will be accountable for delivering sustainable sales and profit growth and for preparing the market for new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets and grow market share across assigned products and accounts
Manage and develop strong, long-term relationships with surgeons, ophthalmic units, and key stakeholders
Retain and protect existing intraocular lens business within the territory
Identify new product opportunities, trials, and partnerships
Develop a deep understanding of the territory, customers, and competitive landscape
Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity, reporting insights to Sales Management and Marketing
Continually develop sales, clinical, and product knowledge to become a trusted expert
Operate in accordance with the company's Quality Management System
Produce accurate sales reports, territory plans, stock reports, and activity updates as required
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in medical devices sales and understanding of ophthalmology/eyecare market
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Residence in Andalusia
Self-motivated and results-driven
Strong team player
Excellent communication skills
