Senior Engineering Manager - All Latam Countries
Technical Managers are leaders responsible for providing guidance and solving technical problems within a Portfolio in the Organization.
They are actively involved in hiring, promotions, pre-sales activities, role changes, or internal movements that impact the company or their projects within their portfolio.
Technical managers ensure alignment of practices across HALO, maintaining the product's timely delivery.
Responsibilities
1. Engagement and Collaboration: Work directly with the Halo Delivery Manager and client stakeholders to strategize engagement, resolve escalated issues, and secure contract renewals.
2. Enforcement of Standards: Uphold standards set by Practice Managers to ensure consistency and quality.
3. Project Progress Monitoring: Oversee project progress, focusing on technical quality and timelines.
4. Technical Strategy: Collaborate with technical leads and directors to define and implement technical strategies aligned with organizational goals.
5. Staffing and Talent Management: Lead staffing initiatives, address gaps, and implement staffing plans across the portfolio.
6. Technical Leadership Support: Support Technical Leads by resolving technical issues and guiding architectural decisions, delegating tasks when appropriate.
7. Mentorship and Feedback: Provide mentorship and performance feedback to Technical Leads.
8. Performance Management: Manage performance feedback and documentation for engineers.
9. Career Development: Oversee promotion and career development processes, addressing gaps.
10. Pre-Sales Involvement: Represent Halo in negotiations, contribute to technical estimations and staffing plans.
11. Financial Acumen: Understand project financials to optimize revenue and margins while supporting team growth.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
* 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role managing complex projects or portfolios.
* Strong knowledge of technical best practices and software development methodologies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
* Experience in pre-sales, contract negotiations, and project financials is a plus.
