Job Description

As a Senior Sales Manager MICE, you will play a key role within our internal sales team and will oversee the generation and conversion of incoming group leads to achieve our objectives in the group segment.

Responsibilities

- Develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with MICE companies to achieve group room revenue targets in line with our S&M; budget.
- Maintain a positive representation of the hotel’s image to both existing and potential clients.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the hotel’s offerings, rates, and promotions, actively promoting the services and amenities.
- Identify peak demand periods and implement strategic offers targeted at specific markets.
- Oversee sales generated by MICE accounts, covering both room bookings and banquet events.
- Maintain active follow-up on leads.
- Conduct site inspections and familiarization trips as required to meet business objectives and proactive sales targets.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and sales events to expand the network and enhance brand visibility.
- Assist in the development of sales action plans, organize sales meetings, and design special group packages.
- Maintain accurate administrative records, including sales call schedules and reports, ensuring timely submission.
- Keep the CRM system up to date to support accurate sales activity reporting.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager on forecasting room and catering revenues.
- Thoroughly qualify each group business opportunity, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries (within 24 hours) and maintaining an accurate group pipeline.
- Track lost or declined business opportunities, providing valuable insights for improvement.
- Manage group proposals and contracts, ensuring a seamless handover after signature.
- Contribute to departmental and hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Proactively seek new sales opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients and partners.
- Support the Credit Department in the timely resolution of outstanding account balances.
- Foster positive relationships with regional Accor GSO teams and other industry partners, such as convention bureaus and local authorities.
- Mentor and share knowledge with the group sales team, supporting their professional development.
- Exceed internal and external guest expectations by consistently delivering exceptional service.
- Adopt a proactive approach to CRM tools and manage assigned portfolios effectively.
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication and address guest feedback promptly, particularly during weekly BEO meetings.

- Strong understanding of luxury market.
- Fluent proficiency in both Spanish and English.

- Experience with Opera preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor degree in Hotel Management, preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in MICE sales within a luxury hotel or resort is required.
