Job DescriptionBESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer – Utility Scale ProjectsPosition OverviewThe BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (Utility Scale) is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support of large-scale battery energy storage projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams. The role manages the technical delivery, commissioning, and operational support of utility-scale BESS projects.Key Responsibilities1. Project Handover from Sales / Presales- Take ownership of projects after commercial contract closure.- Review project scope including:- System design- Grid requirements- Performance guarantees- Project schedules- Align with customers and internal teams on project execution strategy.2. Project Execution & Delivery- Manage the full lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects.- Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards.- Manage project risks and coordinate issue resolution.3. Commissioning & Grid Integration- Oversee commissioning of utility-scale BESS including:- System energization- Grid compliance testing- Performance testing- Work with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration.- Ensure successful handover to operations.4. Operations Support & Service Management- Coordinate post-commissioning support and service activities.- Manage long-term service plans and preventive maintenance.- Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting if needed.- Interface with OEM technical teams for system diagnostics.5. Stakeholder Coordination- Act as the primary technical contact between:- Customers- EPC contractors- OEM suppliers- Internal teams- Ensure smooth communication and alignment across stakeholders.Qualifications- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or related field.- 5–10 years experience in utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.- Experience with large-scale BESS, solar + storage, or grid infrastructure preferred.- Strong understanding of:- Grid integration- Power systems- Energy management systems- High-voltage systemsSkills- Strong project management and coordination skills- Knowledge of grid compliance and power system integration- Ability to manage multiple technical stakeholders- Strong problem-solving ability- Willingness to travel to project sites
