Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Auditor for Food Safety in a remote role based in Spain. This role involves conducting on-site food safety audits and supporting auditor training, onboarding, and performance management.
You will also assist in maintaining scheme integrity and KPIs through data monitoring, administrative support, and expense reviews. If you’re passionate about hands-on auditing and behind-the-scenes impact, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities
* Conduct food safety audits (50% of the time).
* Engage with business leaders, schedulers, and account managers.
* Assist with monitoring and managing auditor capacity, including onboarding new auditors.
* Track financial, safety, and quality goals.
* Monitor report turnaround times and follow up on late or outstanding reports.
* Trend auditor performance, focusing on report quality and response times.
* Review action flags and update the platform.
* Implement integrity programs and schedule calibration activities.
* Conduct witness and integrity audits.
* Maintain current and relevant information on external client platforms.
Qualifications
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
* Degree or Diploma in a food-related discipline.
* At least 2 years' experience in food production, preferably in food safety.
* Experience as a food safety team leader is preferred.
* Internal auditing and HACCP training.
* Lead Auditor qualification is preferred.
* Deep understanding of food and agricultural standards and regulations.
* Experience with QMS and risk assessments.
* Excellent computer, communication, and presentation skills.
* Self-disciplined with attention to detail.
