Position Location: Spain - Valencia
Within our EMEA Bulk Elemental Unit, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer, focused on material characterization, rapid elemental analysis, and materials applications. The role may extend to other product lines and applications, based around Valencia.
How you will make an impact:
As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering service excellence that exceeds customer expectations.
What you will do:
* Represent our company professionally, caring for both external and internal customers.
* Travel frequently within Spain / Portugal and occasionally to other EMEA countries.
* Handle installations, repairs, data analysis, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training, and radiation services on X-Ray fluorescence and optical emission spectrometers.
* Provide remote or on-site services within agreed conditions, setting accurate priorities.
* Prepare service reports, documentation, and protocols per specifications.
* Build strong customer relationships and promote excellent customer experiences.
* Collaborate with sales teams to deliver profitable and satisfactory customer solutions.
* Contribute to continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
Education:
* Diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering, chemistry, electronics, or related technical fields.
Experience:
* At least five years of work experience in technical services.
* Experience in field service or strong service knowledge.
* Knowledge in heavy industrial processes (metallurgy, mining, geology, etc.) is preferred.
* Strong electromechanical, software, and application troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
* Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues under stress.
* Good electronics and mechanics knowledge.
* Customer-oriented attitude and professional demeanor.
* Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook.
* Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Self-organized and effective work ethic.
