We are looking for a (Senior) IT Business Analyst for a European Institution in Luxembourg. We are seeking a contractor with at least 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, specifically in conducting studies for the design and building of IT systems and IT project management methodologies.
EU candidates are welcome to apply and must be based in Europe. Work permits are not provided.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Gather and analyze business requirements, breaking them into detailed specifications and workflows (BPMN, UML).
2. Draft clear documentation and create UI/UX wireframes and prototypes (Adobe XD).
3. Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure alignment and feasibility.
4. Provide support to end-users and internal teams on system functionalities.
5. Follow IT governance and project management methodologies (PRINCE2, COBIT, PMM4EP/ENGAGE).
6. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed.
7. Perform root cause analysis, assess change requests, and recommend solutions.
8. Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
9. Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
10. Attend meetings to align expectations, communicate updates, and gather feedback.
Profile:
1. Master’s degree in ICT field.
2. 5+ years of experience in business, functional, and technical analysis, as well as analytical methodologies and techniques.
3. 5+ years of experience with quality procedures.
4. 5+ years of experience conducting studies in the design and building of IT systems (e.g., quality, security, requirement analysis, technical or functional domain).
5. 5+ years of experience with IT project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMM4EP/ENGAGE), IT governance and management frameworks (e.g., COBIT), and analysis tools (mind mapping, root cause analysis).
6. Expertise in information systems architecture, software design, testing, development, deployment, and hosting activities.
7. In-depth knowledge of methodologies, processes, tools, and frameworks for software development (e.g., Agile/Scrum, iterative waterfall, etc.), design, and modeling (e.g., prototyping, design patterns, use cases, BPM/BPMN, UML, etc.).
8. Experience in ICT application development projects and drafting very detailed specifications.
9. Knowledge of Adobe XD and development skills is considered an advantage.
10. Proficiency in English.
