Role Overview
We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) PR Account Manager who will lead earned media programmes for high‑profile accounts across multiple sports, with a strong focus on golf destinations in Europe and the UK and padel.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships and ensure strategic alignment across all deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Partnerships, Content, Events) for integrated campaign delivery.
- Create and maintain messaging frameworks and a year‑long communications schedule.
- Set and track KPIs for earned media activities, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Deliver comprehensive communications strategy documents.
- Manage ongoing media relations, including press release creation, distribution, and proactive pitching.
- Maintain and grow media lists across sports, business, and travel sectors.
- Secure coverage in top‑tier European and UK media outlets.
- Develop rapid‑response protocols and a crisis communications playbook.
- Draft holding statements for anticipated scenarios.
- Provide reputation management support during crises.
- Produce high‑quality press kits (English & Spanish), thought leadership pieces, speeches, and website updates.
- Coordinate translations into additional languages as required.
- Work closely with design teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Develop and execute launch campaigns, including PR stunt ideation, media sell‑in, and media management.
- Deliver creative activations that drive awareness and engagement.
- Oversee media centre operations at golf tournaments and destination events.
- Manage accreditation, press conferences, interviews, and media‑athlete liaison.
- Ensure smooth delivery of all media‑facing elements during events.
- Monitor media coverage, sentiment, and share of voice using tools such as Meltwater or Cision.
- Deliver bi‑weekly status updates and quarterly KPI reports.
- Benchmark competitor activity and provide actionable insights.
Experience
- 3–5 years in PR, communications, or media relations, ideally within sports, entertainment, or innovation sectors.
- Proven experience managing bilingual campaigns and working with Spanish media.
Skills & Attributes
- Native‑level Spanish and fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong editorial copywriting and storytelling abilities.
- Strategic mindset with creative problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
- Confident working across multiple accounts and deadlines.
Technical Proficiency
- Familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision).
- Understanding of digital and social media trends.
Also Desirable
- Established relationships with leading European journalists in business, sport, and travel.
- Familiarity with KPIs and PR reporting tools.
- Experience integrating PR with wider Paid, Owned and Creative functions.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary.
- Annual discretionary company bonus – up to 8% (3% company, 5% individual).
- 33 days annual leave (+ public holidays), pro‑rated.
- Working hours: 09:00–17:30 with an hour for lunch between 12:00 and 14:00.
