This role focuses on projects involving mainframe legacy systems and modern applications during a large-scale digital transformation and system migration effort. Note: This is not a Functional Business Analyst role. We require a Technical BA with hands-on technical experience, particularly in mainframe modernization projects. Key Responsibilities Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyze user needs, define system scope and technical objectives, and translate them into detailed technical specifications (BRDs, FRDs, user stories). System Analysis & Design Support: Assess existing mainframe systems (input/output, data flow, hardware/software requirements) and support design of new or modified application components. Collaboration & Communication: Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, facilitating communication between mainframe developers and Java developers to ensure technical solutions align with business goals. Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical specifications, program documentation, and user guides. Testing & Support: Work with QA teams on unit, integration, UAT, and regression testing; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; provide ongoing maintenance support. Modernization Initiatives: Support integration of mainframe systems with cloud-based solutions, distributed architectures, and microservices using Java APIs and related technologies. Mandatory Skills Mainframe Technologies: Minimum 5+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 for z/OS. Java Development: Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and API development. Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, stored procedures, and DB2/VSAM file systems. Integration Technologies: Familiarity with MQ queues, RESTful services, and secure file
