Position Overview
We are seeking a Financial Manager for Line Maintenance to oversee the financial performance and financial management of HLA’s line maintenance operations across Spain.
This role requires a professional with solid experience in the aviation MRO sector, preferably within line maintenance environments, capable of combining strong financial control with strategic financial oversight.
The position will support senior leadership by providing financial insights, ensuring financial discipline, and driving profitability across maintenance stations.
Key Responsibilities
F inancial Strategy & Leadership
* Support the development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy aligned with operational and business objectives.
* Provide financial leadership and guidance to support operational decision-making across line maintenance stations.
* Evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for profitability improvement and cost optimization.
Financial Planning & Analysis
* Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Monitor and analyse financial performance of line maintenance operations and individual stations.
* Support the budgeting and financial planning processes.
* Analyse revenue streams, operational costs, and capital expenditure.
Financial Control
* Monitor operational costs and ensure effective financial control across maintenance stations.
* Detect financial deviations and propose corrective actions.
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and closing processes in collaboration with accounting teams.
* Reconcile key general ledger accounts and ensure financial data accuracy.
Cash Flow & Financial Management
* Forecast and manage cash-flow requirements.
* Support effective allocation of financial resources.
* Monitor liquidity and financial sustainability.
Reporting & Business Support
* Prepare financial reports and dashboards for senior management and executive leadership.
* Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
* Work closely with station managers and operational teams to ensure financial performance targets are met.
Compliance & Governance
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal policies.
* Support internal and external financial audits when required.
* Ensure proper financial governance across operational activities.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, financial controlling, or similar roles.
* Mandatory experience within the aviation MRO sector, preferably in line maintenance operations.
* Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control in operational environments.
* High level of English (written and spoken).
* Strong analytical capabilities and financial modelling skills.
* Legal authorization to live and work in Spain is required.
Valuable Qualifications
* Experience working within aircraft line maintenance organizations.
* Experience in the Spanish aviation market is considered a strong plus.
* Spanish language proficiency is considered a strong plus.
* Residence in Madrid or willingness to relocate is considered a plus.
* Experience working in international or multi-station operational environments.
