Join Guardian Industries as a Reliability Maintenance Engineer at our Tudela (Navarra) Float Glass facility. Reporting to the Reliability & Maintenance Manager, you'll provide technical leadership for cross functional teams resulting in high performance and high engagement.
You'll act as a site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Reliability activities continuous improvement, project management to ensure safe, efficient, and low-cost operations to drive reliability excellence, defect detection, and failure mitigation failure elimination. You'll work to improve asset and capacity reliability through the elimination of repetitive failures, technical support of the maintenance function, and the management of appropriate Preventive and Predictive Maintenance processes.
What You Will Do
1. Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA). A hands-on manner & working closely with departments to find, progress and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability.
2. Monitor and evaluate asset bad actor lists and generate solutions for the systematic elimination of bad actors.
3. Study equipment failures and implement solutions, in report format, to management.
4. Reliability data management, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), work order failure code analysis, maintenance of the asset hierarchy, Bills of Materials, technical library, etc.
5. Provide feedback on, training in and implement continuous improvement of work practices associated with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
6. Optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs including systematically defining, developing, monitoring and refining the preventive/predictive maintenance plans.
7. Facilitate Equipment Criticality strategy formulation and ranking sessions, conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, advance Predictive Maintenance technologies (e.g., oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic, online and offline motor testing, etc.) are correctly applied on glass manufacturing assets.
8. Implement changes to maintenance plans based on failure modes, historical data, reliability principles and best practices.
9. Troubleshooting & problem-solving techniques, technical support for operations and maintenance.
10. Identification and implementation of projects to increase asset, resource, and facility reliability.
11. Training and coaching of reliability methods and systems to drive equipment best practices.
12. Support reliability excellence deployment & metric management, analysis and other duties.
13. Demonstrate, identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems.
14. Ability to provide hands-on/in the plant technical advice and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
15. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical discipline) or equivalent technical experience.
16. Over three years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance and reliability environment.
17. Knowledge & implementation of predictive technologies (i.e. vibration, infra-red, ultrasound, machinery lubrication).
18. Able to facilitate Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance methods.
19. Clear understanding of Reliability systems, methods, and proven knowledge of reliability growth.
20. Solid data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certification.
21. Fluent in English and Spanish.

22. Experience in the glass or ceramics industry
23. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Certification or equivalent
24. Demonstrated experience in driving a Reliability Centered Maintenance culture
25. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor stakeholders in predictive and RCM maintenance capabilities
