Responsible for the control of the business unit/area/site in R&D, guaranteeing the correct follow-up and financial support, participating in the decision-making of the area/business.
Responsibilities:
* Monitoring and improving the internal control processes assuring the consistency and the validation of the financial information in the area.
* Supervision of the internal and external guidelines compliance (e.g compliance of the IFRS account guidelines, SCIFF).
* Financial management and participation in the planning processes, Budget, Forecasting and 5 years forecast, guaranteeing the compliance of the finance corporate guidelines and deadlines.
* Financial support (Partnership) for the stakeholders creating healthy debates with the internal and/or external business partners and building a financial rigor in the discussions.
* Financial control and reporting of the assigned departments/business units and follow up with the business teams (costs, accruals, analysis, reporting, forecasting) and continuous monitoring of the R&D costs by cost center, accounts and projects understanding the main cost drivers (risks & opportunities, force-out).
* Monitoring the progress of the clinical studies and their impact on the costs ensuring monthly accruals, booking and payments of the invoices.
* Preparing and analyzing the monthly area reporting and the corporate reporting package and ensuring the closing on time and quality.
* Participating/coordinating the business case for external funding and subsidies and ensuring the documents for justification of the funding (e.g. accounting documents, audits).
* Participating/coordinating business case of new projects for the RDMC and PC and the portfolio review with Project Management.
Qualifications:
* University training: Economics, Business Admin. or similar, with complementary training (MBA or post graduate) is an advantage.
* Advanced user of SAP, BO and MS-office.
* Master in Excel.
* Proactive, analytical, methodical and organized. Critical approach.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Good English skills (writing and presentations).
* Preferred: knowledge in the pharmaceutical sector.
* Familiar with the emission and analysis of the economical-financial reporting.
