What is the Digital and Analytics Practice? Data & Analytics is a specialist business unit within Oliver Wyman, set up in 2017 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and has since expanded across Europe, including Milan, Berlin, Madrid and Athens. The practice is a dynamic, fast-growing team of quantitative analytics specialists. We work closely with colleagues across Oliver Wyman to cover a global footprint, across multiple industries including but not limited to financial services, insurance, retail and transportation. Clients hire us for depth of insight and expertise, combining analytical rigour with a relentless focus on client impact.

The role will focus on managing projects
A Team Leader typically works on one or more projects at a time
Project work involves design and implementation of data products from analytical and software perspectives (software and data architecture design, product development and integration, developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses)
Conduct primary and secondary research; surface insights; oversee the work of analysts
Client presentations and interaction for decision making related to technical aspects of the project
Provide technical and senior-level steer to projects using Partners and internal networks
Collaborate with clients to complete project deliverables to a high standard
Maintain energy and a positive work-life balance for the team
Coaching for Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skills

Who can apply?Associate Team Leader — at least 3 years of previous working experience; Team Leader — at least 5 years of previous working experience
Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (desirable): Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Engineering
Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
Experience with Python (required), MATLAB and R (desirable); data manipulation tools such as SAS and SQL
Experience with data product development and productization at scale: development lifecycle, maintenance, agile methodologies
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with defined timelines
Present results clearly, highlighting issues and implications
Excellent command of Spanish and English (verbal and written)
Ability to manage a demanding workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Willingness to travel regularly
