About the position
We are a global premium publisher with 28 years of history, providing quality software & APPs download services across multiple languages, also expanding with white labels (Filehippo, Download.com), M&A (Appvizer, Ghacks), Publisher network (rev.amp), and more partnerships on the way. As our yield analyst, you will oversee the revenue progression, manage yield strategy of Softonic ad offering (direct & indirect) & provide revenue insights on Core Business and guide different teams (Sales, Paid, Adtech, Partnership, Product, Traffic, etc) to make data-driven decisions and optimize revenue sustainably. The candidate should be a motivated and data-driven professional who loves using data to make business decisions and is passionate about digital media. This role will report to the Director of Advertising.
Key responsibilities
* Oversee & analyze day-to-day & weekly yield performance of revenue lines, provide insights on fluctuation, alerts when needed, and always recommend a clear plan of action.
* Manage Core & rev.amp UPR optimisation with BI & pricing recommendation tool (either 3rd party or in-house).
* Work closely with Sales, AdOps/AdTech, and Paid teams to implement, adjust & optimize robust pricing & yielding strategies to improve VoV & RPM.
* Be the bridge between Sales & AdOps/AdTech teams and empower sales with insights on market fluctuations, opportunities, and inventory availability.
* Optimize the global inventory through the different demand channels, pricing models, deal packages, and auction dynamics, finding the optimal balance of fill rate & placement RPM.
* Provide A/B test or lean test analysis with recommendation for revenue-related initiatives.
* Play a leading role in analyzing programmatic data (open bidding/Prebid/Amazon TAM) and making recommendations to the non-Google indirect business.
* Understand the dynamics of Yield, Traffic & Product metrics and make comprehensive analyses to support commercial initiatives.
* Develop and maintain accurate forecasting models for programmatic revenues, pricing trends, and inventory performance. Create regular reports and dashboards to present insights and progress to the management team.
* Work with finance on monthly sales reports & financial closing checks.
Experience and qualifications
* At least 2 years of working experience working as a business analyst, preferably with experience in digital marketing/monetisation business.
* Experience of SQL & BigQuery is required.
* Experience of working with BI platforms, like Tableau, QlikCloud, & advance skills of Google Analytics, DataStudio, and MMPs (like Appsflyer).
* Advanced knowledge of AI solutions is preferred.
* Knowledge of the online advertising ecosystem.
* Experience building analytical models and working with structured and unstructured data sets to drive business decisions.
* Strong logical thinking & ability of multi-tasking & work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and project management skills with strong business acumen.
* Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-moving environment.
* High level of motivation, determination, and commitment.
* Excellent command of both written and spoken English is required.
