Your mission :
We are actively recruiting a Concept Artist to provide expert art support to MPG's clients. You will collaborate with the art, animation, and tech art teams, as well as production, design, QA, and engineering teams, to deliver top-tier multiplayer experiences. You are an experienced artist with a proven track record in developing high-quality concept art for games. You are confident in managing your deliverables, scheduling work, and reporting progress. You possess deep expertise in your field, with extensive practical experience, and can operate independently on projects. You understand both the creative and technical challenges involved. Additionally, you are willing to mentor junior artists and work collaboratively to ensure ideas are professionally presented and realized in-game.
You recognize that technical skills alone are not enough; effective communication, mentoring, and teamwork are essential to your work. This role offers a great opportunity to influence the visual direction of exciting games.
What you'll be doing
1. Follow visual and technical briefs to create concept art for characters.
2. Collaborate with the concept art team to define and communicate the visual style of the game.
3. Utilize relevant 2D/3D concept software and game development tools, including version control and production tools.
4. Identify, log, and track tasks, reporting progress to your team.
5. Assist in documentation, reviews, and quality assurance of art assets.
6. Maintain high standards in workflows, documentation, and approvals.
7. Mentor junior team members and share knowledge proactively.
8. Participate in stand-ups, craft meetings, reviews, and presentations.
What we'll need from you
* A portfolio/showreel demonstrating production-ready concepts across various styles.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and adapt visual styles based on direction.
* Excellent traditional art skills: proportion, composition, lighting, color, etc.
* Problem-solving skills relevant to game concept art challenges.
* Proficiency with concept art software and tools.
* Ability to communicate effectively with leads and producers, prioritize tasks, and identify risks.
* Good verbal communication skills and openness to constructive critique.
* Attention to detail and quality control in concept assets.
What would help
* Experience creating concepts in both 2D and 3D.
