For our representative office in Barcelona, we are currently looking for a Technical Account Manager – Engineering Plastics (m/f/d) to strengthen our team as soon as possible:
What you will do:
- Responsible for the development of our Engineered Plastics business for Automotive, Electronics & Electrical and Industrial Segments in the Iberia Region
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic customer relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and component manufacturers.
- Build a deep understanding of customer applications, technical requirements, and market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
- Manage design-in projects and coordinate with global R&D; and technical service teams to develop the right material solutions.
- Function as the key technical and commercial interface between LG Chem and the customer, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and long-term cooperation.
- Analyze market and competitor activities to support business strategy and portfolio positioning.
- Represent LG Chem's Engineered Plastics portfolio at industry events, customer workshops, and technical conferences.
What you will bring:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in technical marketing, application development, or a commercial role of engineering plastics.
- Solid knowledge of thermoplastics such as PC, PBT, PA, PPO, or related compounds, and understanding of injection molding and design for plastics.
- Proven track record in key account management or business development within the Automotive, E&E; or Industrial Markets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills combined with a proactive, result-oriented mindset.
- Entrepreneurial personality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix and multicultural environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken; another European language (e.g., French) is desirable.
- Willingness to travel > 50% in Western Europe
