About the Role :
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of country-specific commercial and market access/reimbursement programs, launching and fully commercializing the company’s product portfolio within the territory, establishing and leading Spain public-private partnerships (PPPs). This involves close collaboration with medical affairs, evidence generation activities, the VP for medical affairs in the region, and other global and regional programs to optimize the country’s contribution to these goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
* Build and develop an effective Country leadership team capable of executing the Spain plan, securing growth aligned with international plans. Work closely with the Biopharma team to ensure coordination at the country level. Key performance targets include sales revenue and profitability. Create and manage a comprehensive Country P&L, managing variances appropriately.
* Identify and manage high-value regional or private sector tenders, including post-award contracting and information governance. Establish and lead strategies to secure public reimbursement at regional and national levels. Develop and maintain a rational pricing approach aligned with company profitability, optimizing revenue and profit in Spain.
* Deliver accurate sales and profit forecasts, adjusting budgets as needed and developing course corrections. Hire, develop, and coach a high-performing country team with the right competencies and motivation. Implement commercial excellence programs to enhance team performance.
* Maintain collaboration with the Client Services team for a seamless customer experience. Oversee the interface between the direct sales effort and PPP partners. Partner with International Public Affairs and Market Access to develop strategies for reimbursement. Support a medical team capable of articulating the clinical offering effectively. Ensure the country contributes to global and regional trials and develops local studies for evidence development.
* Manage and lead the Spain commercial team, currently including a sales distributor and market access consultants, with dotted line leadership of the medical director. Partner with senior international business development leaders to manage long-range plans.
Qualifications :
* Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Pharmacy, Medical, or equivalent. A relevant Master’s degree, particularly an MBA, is highly desirable. Current national driving license is required.
Experience :
* Over 5 years in senior sales or medical management, ideally in oncology molecular diagnostics/devices or related fields. Experience managing teams to achieve targets with minimal intervention and managing P&L budgets. Deep knowledge of the oncology genomic medicine landscape. Proven success in delivering complex commercial and medical programs.
Skills :
* Strong commercial and scientific management skills, excellent coaching abilities, and interpersonal skills to represent the company effectively. Capable of creating compelling presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
