As the business continues to expand into new markets, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to support the evolution of their data platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build and maintain scalable, cloud-based ETL/ELT data pipelines
* Develop robust data models that enable accurate analytics and reporting
* Integrate complex data sources including payments, product, CRM and third‑party systems
* Ensure strong data quality, observability and governance across all environments
* Work closely with Data Science, Product, Risk and Engineering teams to shape data‑driven decision making
* Play a leading role in architectural improvements and mentoring junior engineers
Preferred Technical Expertise
Python | SQL | dbt | Airflow (or similar orchestration) | Kafka / Streaming | Snowflake / BigQuery | AWS or GCP | IaC (e.g. Terraform)
Profile Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, including senior‑level responsibilities
* Proven track record building scalable pipelines in a regulated or data‑sensitive environment
* Strong understanding of high‑volume transaction datasets (fintech experience preferred)
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities
* Ability to thrive within an agile, high‑growth technology organisation
