Senior Business Development Manager (Contracting)
RateHawk Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain
Emerging Travel Group is a global travel-tech company operating in over 220 source markets since 2010. We develop advanced online booking platforms for various clients, from individual tourists to travel agents and corporate clients. Our solutions help hoteliers showcase their accommodations, increasing visibility and attracting more customers.
Our mission is to create, distribute, and operate the most convenient travel products by innovating within the complex travel industry to make travel more accessible, rewarding, and simple for everyone.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Madrid or Barcelona.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities in designated destinations.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to inform strategies.
Use extranet tools and negotiation skills to contract directly with hotels, ensuring favorable terms.
Build and maintain relationships with hotel partners to maximize mutual benefits.
Negotiate rates, discounts, and amenities to secure favorable pricing for clients.
Communicate special offers and promotions to enhance client experience.
Monitor hotel performance, including occupancy and revenue metrics.
Ensure contracted rates meet market demands and profitability goals.
Manage the contracting process from negotiations to contract renewal.
Document and communicate contractual agreements clearly and in compliance with policies.
Collaborate with internal teams to align contracting efforts with business objectives.
Travel approximately 30% of the time for meetings and industry events.
Provide updates on market trends and contracting activities.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in contracts.
Mitigate risks associated with contract negotiations.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the travel or destination management industry, with an established hotel network.
Strong analytical skills for market analysis and strategy development.
Proven negotiation skills for contracts with accommodation partners.
Knowledge of revenue management principles and strategies.
Ambitious, proactive, results-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work across diverse cultural contexts.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
