Overview

The challenge
The individual will be responsible for supporting the development, testing and implementation of new packaging materials and designs.
This includes working with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and design team.
Specific Responsibilities
* Be the packaging expert for the organization.
* Own all packaging related activities for assigned products.
* Ensure that packaging is developed and specified to meet the needs; lead material and supplier qualification efforts.
* Be the contact with procurement for supplier allocation across packaging lines.
* Ensure that all packaging activities are properly documented (specs, drawings, qualifications, change controls, etc.).
* Technical Support for quality discussions with material and equipment suppliers – handle the complaint process (oversight investigations, follow-up CAPAs).
* Reduce stops and OEE loss due to materials quality – drive improvement projects.
* Standardization of keylines to optimize change over of the packaging lines
* Lead the adquisition of change over for packaging lines
Requirements and personal skills
* Education: BS or MS in a scientific or engineering discipline.
* Languages: Spanish and English fluent is a must.
* Experience (years/area): 5 years' experience in a relevant packaging role.
* Specific Knowledge: Developing blister, cartoning, shipping, pallets/logistics; artworks, keylines, and labelling –this is going to be a separate team o packaging equipment – Blister, labelers, cartoners, etc.
* Pharmaceutical experience and regulatory knowledge is valuable for the position.
* Travels: Willing to travel occasionally.
* Personal skills: Good communication skills, proactivity, good working under pressure, team working, problem-solving, good organizational skills and persistent.
