Role Overview:
The Supervisor will manage resource planning, monitor workflows, and oversee day-to-day operational activities for the US Invoicing Specialist team. This role is responsible for measuring and reporting on team productivity and individual performance, providing coaching and feedback to ensure a productive, engaged, and high-performing team. The Supervisor will also lead stakeholder engagement initiatives, maintain a controlled risk environment, and ensure compliance with professional standards and operational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the US Invoicing Specialist team to meet service levels, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and timely delivery of work in accordance with SLAs.
- Monitor team workflows and prioritize workloads to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development support to team members, including new hires, to build functional capability and address knowledge gaps.
- Lead and participate in stakeholder engagement sessions, collaborating with brokers and internal teams to improve client experience and understand client needs.
- Maintain a controlled risk environment by identifying, assessing, and escalating operational risks and ensuring compliance with business professional standards and policies.
- Manage escalated calls, complaints, questions, and queries, overseeing the complaints management system and ensuring quality communication with client-facing colleagues.
- Regularly update process manuals and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new processes.
- Identify and implement best practices from the industry tailored to organizational needs.
- Conduct peer reviews, identify coaching opportunities, and help improve quality scores.
- Continuously identify areas for process improvement and participate in related initiatives.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly productivity and performance reports.
- Support or lead business readiness and change management initiatives.
- Adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment to support business needs effectively.
- Ensure adherence to data security and information governance guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in team and process management, preferably within the US insurance industry or related financial services.
- Language Requirements: Must be fluent in English (spoken and written). Only English CV's will be considered.
- Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret reports and performance trends.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (formulas, pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Creativity and openness to experiment with various learning methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
- Ability to adapt quickly and identify opportunities for improvement.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent program management skills.
- Basic understanding of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, or programming languages.
- Experience facilitating development programs.
- High attention to detail and ability to engage with teams to identify assistance needs.
- Competency in one or more Marsh US processes.
- Insurance-related certifications are a plus.
