At WeHunt’s LifeScience & Healthcare Division, we are looking for a Head of Technical Service to lead the global technical service strategy of an international Medical Devices company.
This executive position is part of the leadership team and plays a critical role in ensuring readiness for major product launches while driving long-term customer success worldwide.
The role blends strategic leadership with operational excellence, ensuring that the service function is fully integrated into a portfolio of cutting-edge equipment and consumables.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the global technical service strategy, aligned with company growth and upcoming product launches.
* Build and strengthen a world-class service organization, both directly and through distributors.
* Scale support infrastructure for new technologies and international expansion.
* Ensure close integration with Sales, R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Education, and Customer Operations.
* Manage global service operations: spare parts, logistics, warranties, and digital/remote capabilities.
* Align service resources with capital equipment and consumables launch plans.
* Establish and monitor KPIs & SLAs, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous customer satisfaction improvement.
* Lead the financial management of the service function (P&L, revenue generation, cost optimization).
* Develop, inspire, and mentor high-performing multicultural technical service teams.
Candidate Profile
* University degree, ideally complemented with an MBA, combining strong technical and business acumen.
* 10+ years of international leadership experience in technical service within the medical devices sector (capital equipment).
* Proven track record in P&L management and business responsibility.
* Experience leading services in new product launch environments.
* Comfortable working across multicultural and global stakeholder networks.
* Fluent in English (other languages a plus).
* Strong leadership skills in contexts of change, complexity, and ambiguity.
* Willingness to travel globally up to 50%.
