Job Purpose
Ensuring a safe working environment for their teams and that work done by under their control is planned to be safe and easy, minimising HSE risks & impacts following the Aliaxis Global Standards (Zero Accident Target). Manage the function to keep industrial activities on high level and to guarantee business continuity in a predictive way. (Injection manufacturing pipeline). Propose and execute the Projects optimising the mfg. costs and the timeline. (SMED, 5S, Scrap reduction, etc…). Develop the team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify & eliminate HSE risks & impacts, provide safe ways of working in a safe working environment, Learn & apply relevant HSE standards within their team and department.
* Improve the performance of the function thanks to Performance meetings, KPIs optimisation and continuous improvement activities (mindset and workshop).
* Lead the function to impact in a positive way, focusing on the cost reduction and the quality expectation.
* Implement the actions in line with the Compelling Business Needs.
* Propose and agree strategic long and short-term departmental goals and evaluating outcomes.
* Develop People: development of the team members, building a pipeline of future leaders Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
* Ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations.
* Reports with high level of quality on-going activities and Benchmark with other sites.
* Works independent with knowledge BUT assures proper communication with superiors through weekly individual meetings.
* Planning the amount of resources needed (labor, raw materials, machinery, etc).
* Responsibility for the management and control of the entire area of responsibility, as well as professional and disciplinary management of employees.
* Monitoring and analysis of production processes as well as coordination of maintenance and repair work.
* Carry out annual investment planning for replacement and new investments for the responsible production area and apply for the associated budgets.
* Consulting / support of the respective departments in the new development of technical plastic parts and their production processes.
* Department managers will always need to inspire their staff to enable them to perform at their best and keep them motivated, requiring excellent communicative and interpersonal skills.
* Drive Scrap Reduction Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Working together with CI, progress SMED Project.
Required Experience and Knowledge
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.
* 3-5 years in technical environment and 3 years minimum of Team Mgmt.
* HSEQ risk management and problem-solving experience (lean experience).
* Excellent Leadership and People Management skills.
* Strong understanding of Risk Management.
* Spanish – Negotiation level.
* English - Technical level.
* Six Sigma Yellow/Green belt would be advantageous.
* Strong communication skills & hands-on mentality.
* Team orientation, assertiveness and sense of duty.
* Ability to solve problems systematically and make decisions with a result oriented approach.
* Extensive knowledge in the use of MS-Office and ERP software.
* Knowledge of performance evaluation / KPI´s and budgeting process.
* Basic Project Management knowledge and experience (ie: CBN…).

* Apply HSEQ control procedures.
* Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
* Focused and target/results driven with a can-do attitude.
* Lean management experience.
* Sound knowledge in the field of production management.
