As a Trackside Application Hardware Project Engineer in our Valencia Engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing Trackside Signalling Systems for worldwide Mobility projects, covering both Main Line and Mass Transit. Your work will directly contribute to creating safer, more efficient, and reliable transportation networks globally.
Challenges that await
- Design specific hardware architectures for projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs, reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety requirements, while optimizing quality and cost.
- Implement, test, and commission complex hardware solutions for railway infrastructure.
- Manage and ensure the traceability of requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Provide valuable training to customers and offer mentoring and coaching to a diverse group of System Engineers.
- Support installation and maintenance activities to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate closely in project planning and management, ensuring goals, objectives, and timelines are met.
- Actively participate in technical meetings with partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and cost reduction.

- A University or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.

- Fluency in Spanish and a mandatory B2 level (or equivalent) in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required (approximately 20% of your time).
You’ll thrive even more if you also bring
- Experience with requirements management and systems engineering tools (like DOORS, Reqtify, or similar).
- Knowledge of applying RAMS requirements during project development and familiarity with the CENELEC (or similar) product development lifecycle.
- Understanding of railway signalling systems and technology, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Interlocking systems.
- Hands‑on experience in electrical wiring, assemblies, and cabinet design.
- Knowledge of programming languages and environments used for process automation.
