Job Description
As part of the Brake department, the testing engineer will be responsible for managing testing and development activities related to brake systems and misuse testing.
Responsibilities
Organize and manage test plans and test samples (vehicle and test parts).
Understand and apply the test procedures.
Configure instrumentation and acquisition systems (data loggers, sensors, driverless robots, etc.).
Supervise and manage brake/misuse tests.
Participate in or conduct tests on the proving ground when necessary.
Analyze data and report findings to the final client.
Participate in project meetings with customers.
Qualifications
1 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Good communication skills and confidence in discussions at different hierarchical levels.
Recognizable empathy, team spirit, proactive attitude, and high level of assertiveness.
Committed, goal‐driven, with a track record of successful results and strong service orientation.
Open to working in a very international company with a multicultural team.
Passionate about the automotive world.
Knowledge of robotics, electronics, instrumentation, and radio‐control is an asset.
Previous experience in testing is an asset.
Automotive technical knowledge: understanding of main vehicle component functions and behaviors.
Education
Automotive or mechanical engineering degree.
Languages
English: Professional working proficiency (minimum B2).
Any other language is an asset.
