We are seeking an experiencedSenior Accountant with a strong background inSenior Living accounting. The adecuado candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple senior living communities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance withU.S. GAAP.
This role requires hands-on experience inmulti-entity accounting ,complex journal entries ,resident billing, and a solid understanding ofSenior Living operations, which involve higher complexity than standard residential or multifamily portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Performfull-cycle accounting for multiple Senior Living properties (including AR, AP, GL, accruals, and financial statements).
- Prepare and postjournal entries related to monthly close, management fees, payroll allocations, utilities, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage and reconcileresident billing, move-ins/move-outs, and care-level adjustments.
- Review and analyzebalance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance withU.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with property and regional teams to maintain accurate property-level financials.
- Assist withbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support audits by preparing detailed schedules and reconciliations.
- Identify and implementprocess improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior accountants, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to accounting standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least2 years in Senior Living or Healthcare real estate accounting.
- Proven experience withmulti-entity full-cycle accounting.
- Strong understanding ofU.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
- Hands-on experience withYardi, Entrata, or similar property management software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- AdvancedExcel and familiarity with ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- English: Advanced / professional level (daily communication with U.S. teams).
