About the Opportunity Resort Costa del Sol, located in the beautiful region of Mijas, is seeking a strategic and results-driven
Commercial Director
to lead our sales and marketing department. This is a key executive role within a prestigious hotel environment, perfect for a leader with a strong background in the hospitality sector on the Costa del Sol.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Define and implement the commercial strategy to maximize total revenue (Rooms, MICE, F&B, and Golf/Spa).
Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and develop the sales and marketing team to achieve individual and collective targets.
Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and expand the resort’s market share in both domestic and international markets.
Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor market trends, analyze competitor performance, and report key sales metrics to the General Manager.
Budgeting:
Oversee the commercial budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
Requirements
Experience:
Proven experience as a Commercial Director or Director of Sales & Marketing in the hotel industry (preferably in resorts or 4/5-star hotels).
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the Costa del Sol tourism market and distribution channels.
Languages:
Fluency in
Spanish and English
is mandatory. Additional languages (German, French) are a strong plus.
Skills:
Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
