The role
We are looking for a Geospatial Data Business Development Lead to strengthen our position in the geospatial and Earth Observation ecosystem.
This is a hybrid role for someone who understands geospatial data and EO well, but is also comfortable driving business development, shaping opportunities, and building strategic relationships in programs and ecosystems such as ESA.
You will help connect geospatial data capabilities with real applications, support strategic opportunities, work with data providers and partners, and help turn technical assets into scalable business value.
What you will do
* Act as a bridge between geospatial data capabilities and real-world applications
* Support business development across ESA-related and other strategic programs
* Build and manage relationships with:
* data providers
* EO and geospatial platforms
* strategic partners
* institutional and ecosystem stakeholders
* Help structure and negotiate:
* data access agreements
* SLAs with data providers
* collaboration frameworks
* Contribute to proposals, opportunity shaping, and strategic positioning
* Translate geospatial and EO data capabilities into concrete commercial and project opportunities
* Work with internal teams to ensure data capabilities can be converted into usable services and product components
* Help identify how geospatial data assets and partnerships can support both project-based and product-based revenue
What we are looking for
* 5–10 years of experience in geospatial data, Earth Observation, remote sensing, or related environments
* Strong understanding of the EO / geospatial ecosystem
* Experience working with data providers, EO platforms, or related service environments
* Experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or opportunity development
* Ability to move comfortably between technical and commercial conversations
* Strong applied mindset, with focus on concrete use cases and execution
* Structured, pragmatic, and comfortable working in an evolving environment
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
* Experience with ESA-related programs, xohynlm initiatives, or partnership environments
* Experience negotiating data-related agreements or SLAs
* Background combining geospatial or EO expertise with business development
* Exposure to SaaS, platform, or product environments
