Job Description\nAt UPS Healthcare, facility reliability and regulatory compliance are essential to delivering critical healthcare solutions. We’re looking for a\nManager – Buildings & Systems Engineering (BaSE)\nto lead our facility engineering teams across\nItaly & Spain\n, supporting a large, regulated healthcare footprint and driving both\ntechnical reliability\nand\nfinancial discipline\n.

- Regional coverage: Italy & Spain

- Portfolio: 39 buildings / ~4.77M sq ft

- Leadership: 5 direct reports
\n
- Strong focus on Cost Control & Budget responsibility for all BaSE‑managed accounts (maintenance & facility engineering spend)
\n
\nWhat You’ll Do\n
\n
- Lead multi‑site BaSE operations to ensure safe, compliant, reliable building systems in a regulated healthcare environment.
\n
- Provide leadership and coaching to 5 direct reports, ensuring strong execution, clear priorities, and effective escalation management.
\n
- Own performance of critical infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, refrigeration, utilities, fire protection and other building systems).
\n
- Drive cost control and budget ownership for BaSE‑managed accounts: forecasting, variance reviews, and cost optimization without compromising compliance or reliability.
\n
- Manage vendor and contract performance, ensuring service quality, compliance, and corrective actions.
\n
- Support capital planning and execution: RFAs/CAPEX justifications, approvals alignment, and delivery to standard.
\n
\nWhat You Bring\n
\n
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial or related).
\n
- Senior experience leading facility engineering / building systems across multiple sites (healthcare, pharma, logistics, or regulated industrial preferred).
\n
- Proven strength in budget ownership, cost control, and vendor management.
\n
- Strong stakeholder management skills in a multi‑country, matrix environment.
\n
- Fluent English; Italian and/or Spanish is a strong advantage.
\n
- Location flexibility: Madrid (San Fernando de Henares), Barcelona or Somaglia (Italy)
