Commissioning Engineers play a vital role in performing electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the allocated cost and time constraints of material-handling projects. They ensure that commissioning activities follow correct methods and standards to meet customer requirements.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Main Job Objectives:
- To commission controls systems on-site, including electrical and PLC software commissioning, and support system test activities and end-user training.
- To produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specifications, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments in accordance with BS EN ISO 12100.
- To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
- To ensure systems supplied are CE compliant with the Machinery Directive.
- To commission safety-related parts of control system solutions per regulations and standards like BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204.

- Maintain a professional company image through honest and attentive service.
- Build good relationships with internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with other departments, customers, and subcontractors.
- Adhere to Dematic standards and policies.
- Promote continuous improvement in processes to enhance project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
- Experience with electrical commissioning activities.
- Experience with PLC commissioning is advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of automated warehouses is desirable.
- Hands-on electrical commissioning experience.
- Exposure to PLC, HMI, or SCADA development is a plus.
- Ability to interpret electrical manuals and drawings.
- Good understanding of bus systems; control systems knowledge is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
- Full driver’s license required; role can be home-based.
