Firmware Engineer – Avionics and Flight System

Roles: Firmware Engineer (Senior and Junior) within the Avionics and Flight System Division.
What you will do
* Lead the definition and implementation of firmware solutions: architectures, firmware components, interfaces, requirements, test resources, pin‑out.
* Prepare FPGA specifications.
* Test and debug developed solutions.
* Understand the HW/SW platform and define SW/HW and SW/firmware interfaces.
* Break down the defined solution into affordable firmware components and tasks, considering project context such as schedule, profiles, platform.
* Participate in proposal preparation.
What we expect from you
* Engineering degree.
* 2–6 years of background in FPGA development (space or automotive preferred; larger experience valued).
* Experience in all stages of firmware lifecycle: requirements & spec, architecture definition, firmware implementation, validation, integration.
* Experience in defining and implementing firmware architectures.
* Ability to gather and analytically understand user requirements, guiding the solution beyond the FPGA to SW/FW/HW approaches.
* Communicative skills within small project teams; team interactions and presentations.
* Excellent oral and written communication, clearly articulating customer technical needs into technical specifications.
* High level of English.
We will also value
* Knowledge of different development environments (Xilinx, Microsemi, Questa).
* Experience in VHDL programming.
* Experience in Simulink and Matlab.
* Knowledge of C++, C#, Python, Go, and/or distributed OS.
* Experience in implementing data/signal processing solutions.
* Experience in space, automotive or defence industry environments.
