Duties and Responsibilities
* Work with a team of researchers on projects related to big data and pharmacoepidemiology of medication safety and effectiveness in areas including cardiology, psychiatry, oncology and infectious diseases
* Work on projects related to the development and validation of artificial intelligence (AI) clinical risk prediction tools using electronic medical records and genetic data
* Conduct standard statistical analysis of epidemiological data and interpret the results
* Manage and analyze large quantitative datasets
* Assist in the implementation of research projects in Hong Kong SAR and across mainland China
* Prepare and manage submission to the IRB
* Prepare reports and manuscripts
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Computer Science, AI, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience
* A relevant background in analysing large and complex datasets using R, Python, SAS, STATA, or other analytical tools
* The ability to implement statistical analyses of epidemiological data with correct interpretation of the results
* Excellent communication and project management skills with attention to details
* Excellent coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills
* A good command of spoken and written English
* A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
