SUMMARY
The candidate would become part of Oliver Wyman’s Finance and Risk practice, and will be part of a team that will work hand to hand with the wider OW Iberian and European partners and experts to develop business and to help our Banking and Financial Services clients to solve their most complex and ambitious endeavours on topics such as finance and risk strategy, end to end credit transformations, capital accuracy and models, smart pricing, strategic planning and financial resource management, as well as artificial intelligence and risk modelling engagements (working alongside Oliver Wyman Data and Analytics specialists).
Associates and Engagement Managers will lead small to mid-sized teams in the execution of workstreams or full projects, starting with an initial 6-month period to facilitate onboarding and gearing you up for success.
Based in our Madrid office, part of a Europe-wide staffing pool and with a primary focus on Spanish and Portuguese markets.
Required +3 years of relevant experience in Tier 1 strategic consulting, excellent team management, communication and problem-solving skills and proficient English and Spanish or Portuguese. Data and analytics skills are positively considered

SENIOR CONSULTANTS have enough experience to ask the right questions, frame hypothesis and initiate research to find the answers. As a Senior Consultant, you will be shaping the problems that we work on and developing specialized expertise that other will seek out.
ASSOCIATES break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying the key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. You will effectively plan and execute analysis as well as identify the core issues in complex analyses in order to be able to craft suitable recommendations. You’ll work side by side with clients and your project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to get the work done. Clients and colleagues look to Associates for unique insight into the subject area which they have chosen.
YOUR ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise, the ideal candidate will have most of the following:
15. 2- 6 years of relevant experience, ideally with leading consulting firm(s) focused on Financial Services and/or experience with banks or FinTechs
16. Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, finance, or economics from a top university
17. Outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels.
18. Fluent business English and Spanish or Portuguese
19. Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
20. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
21. Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel to clients world-wide
22. Track record of delivering results in a cross-functional, high-growth, and fast-paced environment
23. Willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
