This hybrid position is based in Madrid with flexible remote and office working.
We are looking for a Safety Director.
Mission
The Safety Director, as leader of the Safety Department, oversees the activities and is responsible to ensure that Crisalion ́s safety management requirements comply with the regulations, and that the requirements are met and adhered to.
Main Responsibilities/Challenges
Establish, implement, and maintain a safety policy for the DOA and defines the corresponding related safety objectives for the DOA, in line with the corporate safety objectives.
Perform and facilitate hazard identification, as well as risk assessment and management.
Monitor and evaluate the results of the implementation of action taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan, unless action follow-up is addressed by the independent monitoring function .
Monitor daily and proactively the safety performance and provide periodic reports to the safety review board.
Ensure the maintenance of safety management documentation and the Safety Management Manual
Ensure that there is safety training available, and that it meets acceptable standards.
Provide all Crisalion employees with independent advice on safety matters.
Ensure the initiation and follow-up of internal investigations of occurrences.
Coordinate and communicate with EASA and AESA as necessary on issues related to corporate safety.
Be involved in the development and updating of the emergency response plan and procedures, practicing emergency responses.
Monitor and ensure that only the safe and approved operation (e.g. test, demo or training flights) are conducted according to the current applicable regulation.
Nominate the safety action group personnel.
Prepare the Flight Test safety risk assessment and participate in the flight test safety review meeting of all flight test operations in cooperation with the Design Office and Flight Test Organisation.
Monitor and ensure that only the safe and approved operation (e.g. test, demo or training flights) are conducted according to the current applicable regulation.
Perform the SORA for the operations that require it and request the Operational Authorization to the competent authority.
Monitor safety concerns in the innovative air mobility industry and their perceived impact on Crisalion ́s operations aimed to design, develop and produce VCAs.
Requirements
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, equivalent qualification or being engineering with experience demonstrating knowledge in aeronautical field.
3 years of experience working in Safety Management System

Specific Knowledge
Demostrated Knowledge of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 19 and 13 and EU requirements for safety management including Part 21 and (EU) 2019/947 requirements
General knowledge of aeronautics, aircrafts and systems
Demostrated Knowledge of all the procedures applicable to the company
Demostrated Knowledge of management systems principles and tools, including compliance monitoring systems, risk management, safety investigation techniques, HF, including HP and limitations and positive safety culture and of its promotion.
