At Indra Space, we are on a mission to redefine the European space industry by delivering high-performance small satellite solutions for LEO missions. Our ambition? To become a leading company in end-to-end satellite systems, driving innovation in:
Todos los posibles candidatos deben leer con atención los siguientes detalles de este trabajo antes de presentar una candidatura.
* Position, Navigation & Timing (PNT)
* Secure Communications
* Earth Observation & ISR
* Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM)
* Science & space exploration
As the Space Business Unit of Indra Group, we combine cutting-edge technology with a full value chain approach—from satellite design and integration to ground segment and operations. With the integration of Deimos and strategic participation in Hispasat and Hisdesat, we are scaling Europe’s space autonomy and contributing to flagship programs like IRIS², Galileo, EGNOS, and Copernicus.
What will you do?
* Analyze and design Space Situational Awareness (SSA) algorithms.
* Coordinate, implement, and test SSA algorithms for sensor observation generation and cataloguing workflows in simulation models.
* Develop and maintain systems that reproduce realistic space scenarios, including sensor networks, object catalogues, and space events.
* Design realistic simulation scenarios and improve model fidelity.
* Develop new algorithms and proactively search for innovative solutions in the SSA domain.
* Coordinate the algorithms team to ensure consistency between simulated and operational systems.
* Support system development, validation, verification, and performance analysis through simulations.
* Present technical findings to stakeholders, providing solutions and recommendations.
* Generate and maintain technical documentation in English.
* Contribute to end-to-end simulation workflows for complex space systems.
What are we looking for?
* Master’s degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent scientific/engineering discipline.
* At least 5 years of experience developing or using simulation frameworks for complex systems in the space domain.
* Proven experience developing SSA algorithms, including sensor simulation, cataloguing, and KPI analysis.
* Deep knowledge of orbital mechanics.
* Hands-on experience with end-to-end simulation workflows.
* Experience supporting system validation, verification, and performance analysis through simulations.
* Development experience in Java, Python, Fortran, and C/C++.
* Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
* Experience with numerical methods, stochastic modelling, and performance analysis.
* Experience with event-driven and time-step simulations.
* Experience with sensor modelling, including noise, detection thresholds, field of view, and observation uncertainties.
* English proficiency (minimum B2 or equivalent).
