About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Development & Pharma Portfolio Associate who will play a key role in both managing our product database and driving commercial growth. You’ll take ownership of keeping our pharma product and partner information accurate and up-to-date while building strong relationships with sellers and licensing partners.
You’ll also be the face of METLY at industry events, connecting with stakeholders and gathering insights to help shape our platform. Working closely with our product and tech teams, your frontline experience will directly influence how we develop and improve our tools.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in pharma business development or licensing who wants to broaden their impact, take on varied responsibilities, and contribute to a fast-moving startup shaping the future of pharma BD.
What You’ll Do
* Own and maintain the internal pharma product database, ensuring it is structured, accurate, and up-to-date
* Research, classify, and enrich product and partner information
* Build and maintain relationships with product sellers and licensing partners
* Identify and close new commercial opportunities with pharma companies worldwide
* Represent METLY at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
* Act as a link between clients and the product team, providing market insights to inform platform improvements
* Contribute to go-to-market and growth strategies alongside the founding team
What We’re Looking For
* 1–2 years of experience in business development, licensing, sales, or portfolio in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
* Strong understanding of licensing and commercial deal processes in pharma
* Interest and skill in organising and managing structured data
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Fluent in English
* Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (hybrid work model)
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with autonomy and a willingness to learn.
