What does the role of Manager at Rijk Zwaan entail?
As Manager Applied laboratories you are responsible for the implementation labs within Rijk Zwaan Iberica. The implementation labs include:
- Cell Biology
- Phytopathology
This department has a range of tissue culture and cell biological techniques to support breeding of new vegetable varieties as well as disease lab and field tests development, coordination, and execution.You lead a team of researchers, lab assistants, nursery assistants and technician.
As a leader, you coach team members and ensure the necessary coordination with research departments. Additionally, you are involved in:
- Making strategic plans for the laboratory, including investment plans
- Striving for operational excellence
- Implementing organizational and technical improvements within the department
- Ensuring good cooperation with internal customers
- Maintaining and improving good working conditions
Requisitos:
What you bring
You have extensive experience in leading and coaching teams. You are communicative and focused on collaboration. You are also good at organizing, planning, negotiating, and have a strong sense of responsibility. Furthermore, you keep up with scientific insights and technologies in the field of cell biology and phytopathology. You are driven to keep the laboratoriesleading based on these insights. Additionally, your CV includes:
- A completed university degree in biotechnology,biologyor similar (minimum Master level)
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrable leadership skills and/or experience
- Good command of Spanish and English
