Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Business Process Owner Demand Analytics is to provide expertise and insights around demand analytics, focusing on analyzing trends, demand forecast accuracy, and demand bias across EMEA. This role will collaborate with local demand managers and the Business Process Manager Demand to ensure the demand planning process is continuously improving. The Business Process Owner Demand Analytics will design and enhance the end-to-end demand analytics process, ensuring it is performed efficiently and effectively across functional, geographic, and business unit boundaries.
This role will also support the roll-out of an Advanced Planning System in EMEA, enabling transition from current demand planning tools to APS, and ensuring implementation of necessary interfaces with other parts of the planning process (supply, distribution, inventory, production scheduling).
As the demand planning step is an essential part of the Integrated Business Planning process, the BPO Demand analytics works together with the entire Demand organization across EMEA to ensure the quality and accuracy of demand related data in the IBP cycle.
Key Responsibility Area
Core Activity
* Technology roadmap: Develops, adapts, and drives global process design and technology requirements to achieve key objectives in Demand Analytics. Supports the roll-out of an Advanced Planning System (APS) in EMEA, ensuring the transition from current tools to APS and implementing necessary interfaces with other planning processes.
* Process / Data: Ensures end-to-end Demand planning process/data performance meets critical business requirements. Ensures availability and incorporates the right internal and external data points into the Demand planning process, analyzing its performance and making the necessary changes and improvements.
* Demand Analytics: Performs advanced analytics around Demand. Analyzes Demand planning performance in terms of bias, forecast accuracy, forecast value add, impact of external variables etc. Delivers actionable insights to ensure high quality inputs for other planning processes.
* IBP Demand step: Collaborates with local Demand managers to ensure high quality inputs and outputs of the IBP Demand step.
* Continuous improvement: Identifies local and regional requirements and constraints through Gemba walks and process audits. Works closely with Business Process Manager Demand to propose and implement relevant process changes, increasing the quality of Demand planning outputs and/or simplifying the planning process. Provides education around Demand planning process both within and outside the EMEA Supply Chain organization.
Experience and Knowledge
* Bachelor / Master in related field.
* 3- 8 years of extensive experience in a planning role within a complex Supply Chain organization, preferably in Demand planning.
* Knowledge of relevant planning tools, processes, KPIs – for demand, supply, inventory, distribution planning.
* Expertise in advanced analytics, preferably around demand. Ability to distill actionable insights from complex datasets.
* Project management experience and APICS certification.
