Continue growing with PPG!The incumbent is responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: EHS, production, quality control, maintenance and engineering, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities also include recruiting, hiring and training personnel and cost control and improvements. In addition incumbent will be responsible for annual budget definition and execution. He will work closely with the production team to increase productivity.**Responsibilities**- Direct manufacturing operations to ensure that conform products are completed on time.- Provide leadership in quality and process improvement.- Coordinate and support supply chain activities for the site (logistic, planning, ).- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in compliance with all regulations and PPG Standards in the EHS area.- Use quality methods and tools and sets up team actions to improve production flow, quality and cost effectiveness.- Foster a positive and motivating working environment; provides development opportunities to all the associates.- Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment- Support and/ or manages the industrial and social relations.- Support and coordinate with HR mgr the relationship with union workforce force and negotiate union contracts as needed.- Optimize resources and equipment utilization in order to achieve significant cost reductions.- Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.- Control expenses to ensure budget compliance.- Achieve customer satisfaction through coordination of the different departments by anticipating needs, developing plans, providing resources.- Communicate on a regular basis with all the other functions in the company.- Analyze complex issues and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques.**Requirements**:- University degree and 5 to 8 years learning experience with broad organizational practices across several different job areas, or mastery of a specific professional discipline within a function.- Knowledge of Production, Costs, Housekeeping, Quality, Environment, Ecology, Security- Know-how of the products- Fluent English- Project management, leadership- Knowledge of Lean and Sigma principles- Good knowledge of market/customer perspectivePPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
