Overview
The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) role is specifically designed to meet the needs of scientific experts through a group of medical professionals with deep knowledge about disease states, available products, and investigational compounds (both Lilly and competitors). By providing relevant information and facilitating scientific exchange between industry and the scientific expert community, MSLs improve patient outcomes by addressing important clinical and scientific questions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledge.
- Excel at customer engagement and support medical/scientific information needs of scientific experts; provide deep and advanced disease state and product information.
- Connect with internal partners and identify possible collaborative research or external collaborations.
- Synthesize complex data and effectively communicate meaningful clinical insights and unanswered customer questions.
- Develop internal networks and collaborate effectively across functions with an active contribution to medical planning and strategy in the affiliate.
- Execute the role in a compliant manner, adhering to all internal and external requirements and procedures.
- Implement a strategic territory plan aligned to Lilly’s priorities while leveraging deep customer knowledge to prioritize needs and preferences.
- Prioritize customer‑facing time and align with customer expectations; incorporate Lilly strategic vision and evolving customer needs into future plans; responsible steward of company resources.
- Deliver thoroughly optimized solutions to complex problems via methodical root‑cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Master or Bachelor level degree in health sciences; PhD level degree in Oncology.
- 2–3 years experience in Oncology / Hematology as MSL or Medical Advisor.
- Excellent Catalan (C2) and English (C1/Advance).
- Residence in Barcelona.
- Willing to travel up to 80% of time.
