Come join a team of deeply knowledgeable engineers that strive to build tools for the most reliable, efficient miniature motion control. /p pThe selected engineer will be focused on developing and maintaining a set of recourses (libraries in C and Python and desktop applications in Qt). /p pThese resources help our customers to commission and perform servo control tuning of our products /p h3Primary Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain a set of libraries for working with Novanta drives /li liDevelop and maintain a set of advanced Desktop Human-Machine Interface tools for Novanta drives commissioning /li liReview, develop and maintain technical documentation of each project /li liCoordinate with testing department to develop and execute integration testing /li /ul h3Required Experience, Education And Competences /h3 ul liMS or PhD in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Control/Robotics Engineering or technical related discipline /li liMinimum experience 2+ years /li liFluent with Object-Oriented Design (Python or C++) /li liMotion control knowledge (motor types, feedback sensors, controls, etc.) /li liEnthusiast of the Robotics / Motion Control field /li liExperience in Version Control System (Git, SVN) /li liExperience in software testing procedures /li liFluent written and spoken Spanish and English /li /ul h3Nice To Have /h3 ul liCapacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions /li liIndustrial communication protocols knowledge (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, CANOpen) /li liExperience with EtherCAT Masters /li liExperience with any Real-time operating system /li /ul pBarcelona /p pNovanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
