Grow your career with a rapidly growing company that invests in its people and their ability to drive real progress.****Roles and Responsibilities**Administration* Manage all Admin for All Lobs: Coordinate with the team, follow up and Issue any kind of requested documentation: policies, endorsements or certificates, of bound business, and coordinate with UWters to ensure these are sent to our partners accordingly;* Ensure company, market and client related documentation are issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time;* In collaboration with the Underwriter(s), ensure Underwriting files are complete and accurate and obtain any outstanding items from the underwriting team or broker;* Ensure all risk and policy queries are communicated through the appropriate channels and responded to in a timely manner. Report priority matters recognized when these need to be escalated;* Control manage and follow up RI front and Outwards premiums and accounts in order to ensure a good service and efficiency between companies;* Participate, understand and assist in the implementation and improvement of the Underwriting Process of the branch and follow up processes and internal rules and controls as established;* Ensure Claims are properly reported and follow up with claims manager. PRM status vs claims in clients and accounts;* Ensure previous years audit gaps reported are correct and information is in well order for each and every client.Operations* Support the team with regulatory and compliance matters;* Manage ad hoc team projects and support to the Regional Manager and UW Ops team leader as required;* Manage/execute all tasks relating to an efficient office operation, including but not limited to building, developing and regular review of operating practices and procedures on ongoing basis in order to determine improvements and enhancements such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures for the Spanish branch;* Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents as required;* Assist the Credit Control team in the management and/or resolution of any queries relating to the Spanish branch accounting Enter risk and policy data in to the Operation system(s) within the defined Service Level Agreements;* Follow up RI management regarding processing, structuring and payment; Provide feedback and follow up branch requests with IT team in order to accomplish needs;* Work with the Operations team, Active Underwriter, Underwriting teams, and IT on a continuous basis to review and monitor key underwriting controls including UW ones ( PBQA), production;* Log all bound, quoted, working and declined risks into the business log immediately in a timely manner before close periods;* In collaboration with the Underwriter(s), complete the front sheet to ensure that all required information is included;* Understand and work on all Operations and Administration systems, ie AC WAN, Gems, ACNET ( Production and Premium management), Avaya (telephone) and report improvements and feedback to the UWting Ops team with needs, changes or requests for the branch;* Ensure TAXES are correctly declared and processed internally. Review signings to avoid mismatching which cause differences in PRM allocations;* Manage TOBA and compliance procedures with new brokers requests coordinating with UWters following the process and filling;* Control data information entered into the system matches reporting and provide any feedback on new findings or issues impacting branch MI.Marketing and Relationship Management* Develop broker relationships through regular interactions on documentation and premiums;* Conduct or assist, in marketing and other research projects as required by the branch, preparing presentations as required;* With guidance from the Regional Manager, develop market relationships through participation in market groups, conferences and networking events.Underwriting Controls* As guided by the Underwriter(s), ensure that Peer Review is completed within 5 working days from QA by communicating with the Underwriter;* In collaboration with the Underwriter(s), manage the items on the Aged Debt Report and work with Finance to reduce the volume of outstanding premiums;* As required, communicate the movement of outstanding premiums to the team at team meetings.**Experience/Skills Required*** 3-5 years at an insurance company or a broking house;* Previous Lloyd’s and London Market knowledge/awareness highly desirable;* Good knowledge of the lines of business;* Well-developed organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and requests* Analytical and problem solving skills;* Advanced numeracy;* Fluent in Spanish and English, Portuguese or Italian would be a plus;* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;* Advanced level MS Office skills – Excel, Word and Outlook;* Underwriting systems;* Proficient computer skills, ability to understand new systems;Starr is an equal opportunity employer, which means we'll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
