Security Program Manager, Data Center Security
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated physical Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our team.

The position is responsible for designing, installing, and integrating security systems equipment, including but not limited to Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV Surveillance systems.
The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work across all disciplines, from technology research to system design and layout, overseeing construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the system's lifespan. You should have in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and demonstrate the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
The SPM is a key member of the European Security team, reporting to the Multi-Cluster Security Program Manager. The SPM supervises compliance with physical security standards, manages Physical Security Projects, serves on cross-functional teams, and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in all facets of Physical Security.
The SPM's success will be measured by their contribution to the development, implementation, and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region, based on objectives and metrics related to customer service, access control effectiveness, and the protection of our customers' data, employees, and visitors. The position also involves ensuring adherence to Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the Global Physical Security Team's goals, enabling local Security Managers to access related services in a self-service manner.
AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continuous customer access to our cloud services. We support complex challenges involving numerous variables impacting the supply chain and seek talented individuals eager to contribute.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate across AWS to uphold the highest safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at minimal costs. Key job responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change-outs.
2. Ensure compliance with physical security project standards, project scopes of work, budgets, and timelines.
3. Manage the installation, operation, and maintenance of regional and global physical security systems, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
4. Prioritize tasks effectively and ensure seamless operation across organizational boundaries.
5. Support security system equipment commissioning.
6. Complete final testing and acceptance of security systems.
7. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to security system equipment.
8. Develop and deploy training programs for all users of physical security systems.
9. Minimum of five years experience managing the operation and installation of regional and/or global physical security systems.
10. Experience as a Physical Security Program Manager for large and complex installations.
11. Advanced knowledge and experience with the Security Integrator industry.
12. Relevant certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CISSP.
13. Strong knowledge in the design of security systems.
14. Certification in LenelS2 Access Control Systems.
15. Extensive experience in corporate security and workplace safety.
