Exide Technologies’ Automotive Division manufactures 12V batteries for all powertrain concepts, covering internal combustion over to full electrician and off-road vehicles. We offer lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries for light and commercial vehicles, motorcycles, boats and more. We serve the OEMs and the Aftermarket with our and our customer’s top brands.
For our growing Automotive division in Manzanares (SPAIN) at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Plant Manager.
Will lead the HSE operations and activity is in the Manufacturing Plant, promoting a safeworking environment for the employees and contractors and the meeting of all legal requirements for HSE issues. Will drive the Technical HSE projects in terms of HSE technical requirements, best practices sharing, budget and scheduling follow up, lead the Risk Assessment process, implement the Company Management System and ensure the internal and external audit processes. Directs HSE programs and activities to ensure compliance with national and local laws and regulations and Company Policy.
Development and implementation of the HSE program, Company Guidelines & HSE Management System.
Ensure the definition and project execution of investments and resources necessary for the implementation of HSE programs.
Prepare and analyze the EHS KPIs and reporting, ensuring data quality and timeliness.
Join the internal audit program in the division in collaboration with Corporate / BU HSE, participate in audits when necessary.
Plant inspections, assessment of HSE conditions.
Maintain HSE technical competency through continuing education and propose necessary programs.
Ensure identification, verification and compliance with legal and other Company and/or Customer requirements.
Meetings with external companies, suppliers and local authorities when required.
University degree in Industrial Engineer or similar.
Master in Health and Safety.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar position preferably in an industrial environment.
Business fluent in English.
