This role requires one to be a self-starter with good business modeling skills, keen attention to detail, and a proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders. The role involves regular interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will need to operate with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrate comfort with ambiguity, and maintain a high bar on performance. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record for hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
Key job responsibilities
- Conduct training needs analysis and continuously assess employees’ needs for training.
- Design, develop, and deliver learning solutions to address communication and behavioral learning needs of finance employees and front‑line managers.
- Design and implement communication skills modules (English language written and spoken, behavioral, grammar, soft skills, etc.) for new hires as well as existing employees in both Voice and Non‑Voice mediums.
- Deliver hybrid training (instructor‑led training and virtual training platforms) and explore innovative training delivery methods for evolving training needs, catering to Millennials and Gen‑Z learners.
- Ensure that the L&D; curriculum is tracked and maintained in the Learning Management System.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback to measure learning outcomes and continuously improve.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).
- Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participation in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
