As a Senior Application Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of Customer Support and Application Engineering — two disciplines that, together, define the full customer journey. On one hand, you will serve as the first line of support when clients receive our product, often working under pressure to help them get their solutions up and running quickly. On the other hand, you will bring a long‑term technical vision to each engagement, conducting deeper analysis and fostering close collaboration to set projects up for lasting success.

Main Responsibilities / Functions
Handle customers from around the globe helping them from simple technical queries to complicated engineering questions.
Act as the primary technical interface with customers on all electric machine controllers, BMS, system integration, and system performance‑related challenges.
Perform calibration, validation, and optimization of electric propulsion systems and storage systems using NX’s EMC and BMS product line‑up on both test benches and vehicles.
Follow a success recipe according to the company’s identity on how to provide support and help enhance it, aimed at operational efficiency, and product quality.
Collaborate closely with R&D and software development teams to communicate field issues, new functionality requirements, calibration outcomes, and recommendations for hardware/software enhancements.
Collaborate closely with Business to exchange information on clients, reporting field issues and taking information on each project.
Provide on‑site commissioning, troubleshooting and technical support at customer facilities when required.
You must ensure alignment on technical specifications throughout the support package / project.
Develop, document, and execute calibration procedures, test plans, and validation protocols for customer‑specific projects in vehicles or test benches.
Enhance the documentation of NX’s products available for clients and provide valuable insights on internal technical documentation.
Required Knowledge and Experience
5 years of experience
in the field of power electronics and application SW for inverters and BMS.
You must be able to
analyze system
(specially inverter and BMS)
data logs and interpret them
in the search for issues or general evaluation.
Knowledge of
concepts on
electric machine controller architecture
at HW level.
Knowledge of
concepts on
SW structure controlling electric machines.
Understanding on
electric machines at model equations level
and interpreting machine trajectories (mtpa/mtpv).
Understanding basic
BMS calculations and protection functions at system level
(SOC, SOP).
Be able to
evaluate client’s mechanical and electrical setups
with NX’s products and provide them valuable recommendations.
Experience in product integration
and/or test bench operation.
Be able to
respond to potential customer needs pragmatically, assessing the use of NX’s products on their applications, and evaluate potential problems.
Experience
working with
ticketing systems
is appreciated.
