About the role:
As an Electrical Systems Engineering Intern you will perform electrical engineering evaluations and analyses to support the operation and decommissioning of the nuclear power plants.
You will report to the Plant Electrical & Control Systems Manager and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de Los Reyes. This is a hybrid internship with a mix of 50% on-site and 50% remote days that may be set at your discretion. This is a part-time paid internship from November 2025 (6-9 months), with the possibility to receive course credit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in electrical and instrumentation and control projects
2. Perform electrical engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services to support operation of the nuclear power plants
3. Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants
4. Understand and help define project modification to DC and AC power systems
5. Interpret electrical plans
6. Conduct probabilistic risk assessment on nuclear reactors
7. Participate in integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties
Qualifications:
8. Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Nuclear Engineering
9. Experience or knowledge with electrical systems, IEEE or IEC codes
10. Proficiency in Spanish and English
