Yago School Málaga, an international IB World School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced PYP Teacher to join our Primary team.
This position is initially to cover a paternity leave, with the possibility of a permanent position starting in September as our school continues to grow.
We are looking for a passionate educator with native, bilingual or high level of English, strong experience in primary education, and the ability to deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics, Science and Chess within the IB Primary Years Programme.
The successful candidate will be a reflective practitioner who believes in inquiry-based learning, personalised education and developing internationally minded students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTeaching and Learning
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
* Teach Mathematics, Science and Chess to students in PYP
* Foster a student-centred classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity and critical thinking
* Implement inquiry-based and transdisciplinary learning experiences
* Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress
* Adapt teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners in an international environment
Collaboration and Communication
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in planning and curriculum development
* Maintain clear and professional communication with families
* Participate in team meetings, school initiatives and professional development

* Promote the IB Learner Profile and the values of Yago School
* Contribute positively to the life of the school community
* Support student wellbeing and pastoral care
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Essential
* Degree in Primary Education or related field
* Recognised teaching qualification
* Native, bilingual or high level of English
* Proven experience teaching in Primary Education
* Ability to teach Mathematics, Science and Chess
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A collaborative, positive and student-centred approach
Desirable
* Experience teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme
* Experience in an international or bilingual school
* Spanish language skills (an advantage but not essential)
