Market Access Alliance Director OBU
Purpose of the Role
The Market Access Alliance Director leads Value and Access and Pricing strategy and develops the value proposition for Daiichi Sankyo’s Alliance DS-AZ oncology products.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Value and Access Strategy :
Lead the development and implementation of Value, Access, and Pricing strategies through the Alliance DS AZ agreement.
* Develop tailored value propositions aligned with brand strategy and stakeholder needs.
* Collaborate with HEOR & Pricing Managers on P&R processes and evaluations, anticipating strategies at all levels (national, regional, account).
* Coordinate with Commercial, Medical, BI, Finance, Communication, and Regulatory departments to align brand strategy, positioning, and forecast.
* Support the Market Access Director in strategy formulation for Oncology Alliance products.
* Negotiation :
Lead negotiations for Oncology Daiichi Sankyo’s Alliance products within the alliance framework.
* Collaborate with the Director of Market Access Oncology during negotiations with health authorities.
* Stakeholder Value Proposition :
Participate actively in the Alliance Executive Committee, leading Market Access and pricing strategies.
* Be a member of the Oncology Leadership team.
* Deepen understanding of healthcare trends, communicating insights to relevant stakeholders.
* Map and define strategic actions with access stakeholders to ensure product market access.
* Identify opportunities and risks in the access environment for the products.
* Ensure execution of strategic and tactical plans in Value & Access and pricing, leading teams accordingly.
* Regional Access Coordination :
Coordinate with regional managers on access strategies.
* Maintain engagement with payers through field visits and other interactions.
* Provide aligned materials, strategies, and tactics to field teams.
* Stay updated on brand strategies impacting market access.
* Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to internal and Spanish regulatory procedures for research, medical activities, and communication.
Professional Experience & Education
University degree required; MBA highly valued. At least 2-3 years in a similar role; expertise in Oncology; experience in complex negotiations.
Personal Skills
* Experience working with payers, HTA bodies, or within pharma environments.
* Knowledge of Spanish healthcare system, market mechanics, policies, and funding pathways.
* Understanding reimbursement and market access processes.
* Knowledge of pharmacoeconomics and HTA requirements.
* Negotiation skills and fluency in Spanish and English.
* Ability to generate and analyze scientific and economic data for payers.
* Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
